Defect

Defect is the second playable character in The Void Rains Upon Her Heart. She is unlocked by dying five times in Story Mode.

Appearance

Outside of battle, Defect is a Zaraden with dark blue skin and bubblegum-pink hair, short and combed to hide one eye. Her ears are long and pointed, turning downwards at the tips. Her eyebrows and lips are the same color as her hair, but her eyes are unlike that of a normal Zaraden, being red with a slit pupil in a manner similar to a Veyeral. Two sets of five red spikes pointed in various directions run along either side of her spine in place of her wings. Alter Defect appears similar, but is covered in a black, sludge-like substance.

In battle, she appears as an indigo heart, split down the middle and with red spikes protruding from its top, with a gem in the center. Alter Defect's heart is the same color, but with blue spikes instead, and the upper half is covered in the black substance.

Personality

Defect is quiet and rather shy, preferring to hide behind her friend Blue. She has low self-esteem and struggles to accept that she deserves love. Despite her more muted nature, she is still very kind.

Strategy

Defect is mechanically very similar to Her Heart, with the main difference being her lower starting HP and starting with the gift Adamant Will.
