Events

From The Void Rains Upon Her Heart Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Events are random occurrences that can benefit or hinder the Zaraden in her quest. They almost always require specific conditions to be met during a before they can appear, such as loving a certain monster or reaching further chapters. The current karma value also affects the likelihood of whether a random event will happen or not.

Unless specified otherwise, events are exclusive to story or altered story mode.

Event Types

Common Events

Common events are a variety of events with unique effects and conditions. Most of these events can all occur within the same run, with the exception of gift delivery and token shop events.

Name How to Find Description My Notes Unlock
Self-Doubt Raising the level very high and taking a lot of damage causes this event to appear. It is most likely at the end of a chapter. This event can lower the monster level by up to three. The first decrease is free, but the second and third cost 5 karma each. If the level is not lowered, you gain 5 karma. The monsters are getting more and more powerful. Is this too much for me already? Am I good enough for this? These negative thoughts will get in the way later. The monsters can sense it. We are sharing dreams after all.

I'll just rest for a little while. If I rest longer, I can reduce monster power by up to 3 levels.
A Key to Love This event can appear anytime before the third full chapter. It is more likely the more challenges failed during the run. It does not appear if the player already has Heart Key. One tetrid of a random non-radiant color can be exchanged for the Heart Key gift or 9 karma. One of my tetrids pulled me over to a Heart Key on the ground. Should I take it?

It is a rare and Wonderful Power Gift! But I have noticed that for every 3-star gift I have, I am less likely to find another one later.
Pass a total of 100 challenges in Story Mode.
Radiant Garden This event can appear after any chapter. It is more likely to appear earlier in the run at higher difficulties. Colored tetrids can be exchanged for radiant tetrids, or turn radiant tetrids into all colored tetrids. Tetrids can also be used to buy a bonus or quick gift.

This event also has a blessing meter that fills upon using the garden. When full, it can be expended to enter a unique chapter called The Garden's Blessing. This chapter's boss pool consists of Nova, Fallen Hearts, and other special monsters not otherwise tied to an event. These bosses will appear with Blessing Gifts if they're unlocked but will spawn with fewer Power Gifts.
This event can be upgraded with the "Rainbow Petal" upgrade gift.
I found a beautiful garden filled with radiant flowers. The flowers can change the colors of my tetrids!

If I give the garden enough tetrids, it will attract a Special Monster.
Collect a total of 600 tetrids of any colors.
Lulu's Gift This event will appear immediately after loving Unit Lulu. This event will not appear if you already have the Fear Sense gift. Unit Lulu will let the player take either the Fear Sense or Single Wish gift. After a practice battle with the Little Robot, she will give me her Fear Sense gift. This thing can tell me exactly how much fear a monster has. I don't really know what that means, but the battles always end exactly when that number gets to zero!

She must have spent so much time studying the monsters. Even during all those days that I can't remember.
Radiate 6 Events.
Heliocentric Model This event will appear immediately after loving Heliola. This event will not appear if you already have the Sun Stone gift. Heliola will let the player take either the Sun Stone gift or a Heliola part bonus gift (Starlight or Sunlight). Heliola decided that she didn't want to hide herself from everyone anymore. It will take her some time to get over her fear of attention, but the world will be a better place when she can share her light freely.

She made a Sun Stone for me today. It uses her own light to attract more monsters. It also helps me feel energized, especially now that I'm starting to forget what the sun feels like...

Scrambla's Gift This event will appear one battle after loving any form of Scrambla. Scrambla can place up to six stars worth of gifts in her Link Synapse. Any gift given to her is removed from the player, but will then be available during the Link Synapse special event. Scrambla can be given tetrids to appear again after the final boss.
This event can be upgraded with the Foreign Axon upgrade gift.
That absolute sweetheart, Scrambla found a way to help me. She can open a Link Synapse and put some of my gifts inside. I won't have those gifts anymore today, but they will be waiting for me tomorrow!

I wonder where my gifts normally go at night?
Break 20 of Scrambla's maws and eyeballs across all battles.
Boiler's Gift This event will appear one battle after loving any form of Boiler. Boiler can place up to six stars worth of gifts in her Link Synapse. Any gift given to her is removed from the player, but will then be available during the Link Synapse special event. Boiler can be given tetrids to appear again after the final boss.
This event can be upgraded with the Foreign Axon upgrade gift.
The spiciest Shamble around, Boiler found a way to help me. She can open a Link Synapse and send my gifts straight to my home, but tomorrow in the future!

Her synapse seems to share the same exit point as her sister, Scrambla's.
Break 30 of Boiler's spawn across all battles. (Story Mode)
Sandrome's Special Delivery This event will appear at least one battle after loving Sandrome, but not before the fifth battle. It will appear immediately if the battle after the next one is the final boss. This event will not occur is Sandrome is loved right before the final boss. Only one gift delivery event can appear in a run. This event is split into two segments. The first will let the player choose one monster previously loved during the run. The choices generally require that monster's event to be found before they can appear here. This monster will then present one or two selections of gifts to Sandrome, letting her take one from each. Each monster provides a unique selection of gifts to choose from. The second segment occurs one battle after the first, with Sandrome offering the gifts from the previous segment. Sandrome has started bringing me gifts from other monsters that I've met. It makes me wonder if all these monsters have known each other all along. Or maybe they were all hiding from each other too.

I've only just been able to meet them all now, after finally trying a little bit. All that time hiding from what? A giant cuddly hydrome? I should have tried sooner!
Encounter 25 unique events hosted by monsters.
After The Storm This event will appear at least one battle after loving Storm Veyeral, but not before the fifth battle. It will appear immediately if the battle after the next one is the final boss. This monster will then present one or two selections of gifts for Storm Veyeral to deliver, letting her take one from each. Each monster provides a unique selection of gifts to choose from. The second segment occurs one battle after the first, with Storm Veyeral offering the gifts from the previous segment. Storm Veyeral is usually gone by the time I wake up, but lately she's been coming back to apologize to me. Every day, a different monster encourages her by giving her gifts to bring me.

She really has no reason to apologize to me, but I still appreciate how hard it is for her to do it.

Blot's favorite gifts are Painting, Self Portrait, Masterpiece, and Blot of Paint.
This event can be upgraded.
Blot invited me to her art gallery today. She asked me for gift donations with a special interest in artistic gifts.

She proudly talked about all the beautiful art that she found while I tried my best to hide the welling tears in my eyes. She doesn't know that I painted most of them. It's been a long time since I've felt this flavor of happiness.

This event can be upgraded
Vitrea invited me to her observatory today. She asked me for gift donations with a special interest in cosmic gifts.

Her telescopes are amazing! They can blast small holes in the clouds to let the stars shine through. They can also be used to capture the image of stars as a gift.

Unfortunately we can't use them to blast all the clouds away.

Sentinel 4X gave me another quiz today. She was so happy every time I got a correct answer. She gets so excited, I was afraid her head was really going to explode this time.

As I learn more, she comes up with new questions to ask. I don't know how she does that. It's like she can tell exactly what I know just by looking at me. I think she wants to make sure I don't lose my memories again.
Love 30 unique monsters.

Stage Events

Stage events can effect any monster selection stage, except the first of any chapter. Only one stage event may appear each chapter. Stage events are separated into several sub-categories with each having its own spawn limits and conditions. Unlike most events, they provide direct modifiers to the stages themselves. Such as: modifying gift/boss pools, gift/boss odds, and challenge odds.

Name How to Find Description My Notes Unlock
Bounty of Motes This event can appear on any stage. Bounty gifts are guaranteed to appear on all fights. I found a group of monsters that all brought me bounty gifts and tetrids!

I've noticed a limit to how many extra motes I can find each day. Bonus Gift Tetrids and Bounties each have their own limits. Monsters will stop having those gifts if I already found a lot of them. For bounties, the limit seems to go higher if it's raining harder that day.
Have 30 radiated Bounty Gift cards.
Wrathful Monsters This event can appear on any stage. Bounty gifts are guaranteed to appear on all fights. Monsters that use full arena attacks in any way have a chance of offering a wrathful or a repelling burdened bounty (otherwise offering a blessed bounty), while monsters that don't are guaranteed to offer them. There was a group of monsters that seemed even more angry than usual! All of them used Full Arena Attacks in our dreams, even if that wasn't how they normally attack. They were tougher than usual, but I managed to calm them down the same as always. Collect a total of 2,020 tetrids of any colors.
Inverted Dream This event can appear on any stage. All bosses gain burdened bounties that mirror or flip the arena. I felt a little dizzy when I faced this group of monsters. It didn't seem like a big deal, but then all our dreams were mirrored or flipped upside down! It was so disorienting being on the wrong side of my own dream! Everything else was the same as usual, but I wasn't expecting this to affect me so much. Love a level 12 or higher monster in the towers.
Don't Panic! This event can appear past the first chapter if you have some panics. All gifts have a don't panic challenge. I have to be careful when I find an extra skittish monster like this. If I panic, they will run off without leaving any gifts behind. This worried me at first, but they always seem to feel better if I see them again later. They'll still want to play games, or hug me, or whatever they usually want to do. That's gift enough for me!

It's so funny to think about how such powerful monsters can be startled by me.
Defeat Nix Polyps 3 times in story mode.
Everyone Panic! This event can appear past the first chapter if you have some panics. Holding onto more panics further increases the chance. All gifts have an absorb bullets challenge, even if you have the easy challenges effect. Some monsters get really worried when I hold onto a lot of panic attacks. They won't give me any gifts unless I promise to use some of my panics.

They really seem to worry about it, but I don't feel any different. I might even feel safer with more panic... These are supposed to be different than the bad ones, right?
Absorb a total of 10,000 bullets with panic attacks.

Free Gift Events

Free gift events give a choice of gifts from a specific monster. They can occur at the end of any chapter, but only one can be encountered per run. It is more likely if the player has a low amount of power gifts. When the free gift event appears, it is chosen randomly among all free gift events whose conditions have been met. If no events are available, No One's Gift is used instead. None of these events can offer tetrid bonus gifts, and they can power any Wonderful Power Gift regardless of their other limitations.

Name How to Find Description My Notes Unlock
No One's Gift This event can appear after any chapter. If the conditions for another free gift event are met, this event cannot appear. The player is offered one hidden power gift, with the option to either reveal it or ignore it to gain 15 karma. After the gift is revealed, the player can take it or refuse to gain 7 karma. I stumbled upon a lonely gift that seemingly belonged to no one. Should I take it next time? What if it belongs to someone? What if they wanted to give it to me, but were too scared? Have 30 radiated Power Gift cards.
Amalga's Hospitality This event can appear after loving Amalga. Amalga will present a set of fully random bonus gifts and let one be chosen. She will repeat this twice, then repeat it two more times while only offering "mark" bonus gifts. Giving a total of 4 gifts. Amalga was so worried about me, that she gave me 4 Bonus Gifts today.

She can take photographs by making her glyph flash a bright light!

She likes to take photos of random gifts that I have with me. These photos work just like duplicate gifts, and she lets me take one of them!

If I have any room for a Quick Gift, she will also give me one of her photo gifts.

Astrayo came looking for me today. She had a few Zap and mechanical gifts for me!
She was so excited a lot of her spark stones were flying all over the place. They seem to appear out of air around her. I wanted to ask her where they come from, but she looked too embarrassed to talk about it.

I found Null Unit on a mountain of scrap metal where she seems to live. She showed me a random pile of 12 quick gifts and let me have any one I wanted.

If I have at least 4 empty quick slots when I visit her, she'll give me an extra quick gift from another pile.

Flip Flap.
Flip Flap.
Defeat Flip Flap without breaking more than 4 wire segments in a level 7 battle or higher.
Smiles for Pearl This event can appear after loving Pearl. Pearl offers three cosmic power gifts and two cosmic bonus gifts and lets you take one. It's so hard for me to read Pearl's expression. It doesn't help that she can't talk either.

She was going to throw them away, but she asked me if I wanted to take them instead.
I can tell that she didn't want them to go to waste even though she didn't want them anymore. She indirectly helped several other monsters feel loved today!"
Defeat Venom Veyeral while staying in focus mode for the entire battle. (Story Mode)

Trade Events

Trade events allow the player to exchange for gifts with a monster. Giving the monster what she wants will increase her mood points, which can then be used to purchase gifts. Excess mood points are converted into one karma each at the end of the event.

Gift values when giving or taking are based on type and rank. While giving, most monsters prefer certain types of gifts, gaining extra mood value from those she enjoys or rejecting ones she doesn't. Monsters also have favorite gifts that give a massive amount of mood points. Trade events can spawn at the end of any chapter and are limited to one per run, and having a monster's preferred gifts or playing as her preferred character makes her event more likely to be chosen over other trade events.

After giving her health for the first time, she will offer a free healing/food gift, having more options based on how much health was offered. Hematoren wants to create a garden out of my blood, so I let her have some. It didn't hurt, but I did feel a little weak after. She gave me some food and I felt better.

Chemory was looking for gifts that she could turn into perfume. She mostly wanted Toxic gifts, but she takes anything that isn't a Zap gift since those disrupt her ability.

She has 8 gifts to trade, and she usually has a few gifts with a lovely fragrance.

I think she focuses on transforming Toxic gifts because they remind her of herself.

If Devil is the current character, she will force herself to take at least one burden.

While not accepting gifts normally, Hadesoh and Chionotoh's burdens behave as favorite gifts.
Ever since I've been in the towers, every monster's blessings and burdens have appeared to me. Some monsters can see them too.

Hadesoh has been gathering everyone's burdens onto herself, but that's way too much for one monster! I've decided to take on a few of them myself, but she insisted that I also take something from her pile of 14 gifts.

She can make one copy of every gift that I have with me, but I must be careful about what gifts I choose. Some gift effects can't really be doubled.
During a battle with Dual Prisma, Break all 4 shell parts of either Prisma while leaving the other unbroken. (Story Mode)

She has 7 gifts to trade, but naturally, some of them will be Void type.
Break 100 of Frozen Veyeral's orbs across all battles. (Story Mode)

Bonding Time Events

Bonding time events involve various minigames in exchange for rewards. Similar to trade events, they use mood points as a currency in exchange for gifts. Gift costs are based on type and rank. Mood points are awarded from doing various games and activities with the monster. Usually, only one bonding time event can be encountered per run after the first or second battle of a full chapter. However, a second can appear in altered story after the Altered Nowhere chapter.

Most actions in bonding time events expend some amount of time. The player starts with 3 time by default, but finding and radiating the Clock upgrade gifts can increase the total amount of time up to 8. Once time drops to 0 and the current activity ends, or when the timer hits -1, the event proceeds to the gift phase. The player can purchase up to three gifts with the mood points gained from the event, and the rest of the mood points are converted into one karma each.

Name How to Find Description My Notes Unlock
Embracing Dot This event can appear after loving Dot. Dot's event consists of four different minigames each taking 1 time unit and giving 1 mood. The player can also take on a burden using 1 time unit after successfully completing a minigame to gain a mood point or two. Getting a perfect score in a minigame will give you the option of holding on for 1 more time unit, awarding 2 extra mood points. If the player fails a minigame, they will gain 4 bleed HP. Dot will offer to remove it and give you a health/healing gift at the cost of 1 time unit.

After successfully completing 3 minigames or taking a burden, Dot will say she is ready for The Big Hug. The Big Hug takes 2 time units, and consists of 2 minigames in a row, but gives you a third mood point for free. Getting a perfect score on the first Big Hug minigame will give you 1 additional mood, while getting a perfect score on the second lets you hold her longer like normal.
I always wake up with Dot's long arms wrapped tightly around me. Sometimes, she comes back to me later in the day and asks me to help her practice hugging. I know it stresses her out when they aren't perfect, but I hope she allows herself to figure out the real secret one day. They are always perfect!

But for now, I'd never turn down a free hug. Even if her thorns scratch me a little.
Accept a total of 5 gifts from any Bonding Time events.
Kiwi's Playhouse This event can appear after loving Kiwi. Kiwi's event consists of a single complex minigame called "Kiwi's Dungeon of Demise and Doom." Each Zaraden is given a unique class, playing along with Kiwi as "The Flowergirl" who acts as a healer. Her Heart becomes "The Artist", and starts with extra maximum health. Defect becomes "The Sorcerer", and heals after every fight. The Twins become "The Knight" and "The Jester". The Knight starts with extra defense and The Jester replaces Kiwi as the healer, but her healing actions also damage a random enemy. Devil becomes "The Metalhead", and starts with AOE attacks.

The game uses a needle moving quickly across a segmented bar as a form of attack. Time only decreases when you confirm an action using the needle. A negligible amount is also lost when the needle changes direction after hitting the edge of the bar. Most segments are empty, but some contain an ok, great, or critical attack. The strength of the attack is based on its tier. This logic also applies to the healer, but determines the recovery amount instead of damage. The healer can also apply buffs to the hero in the forms of temporarily unlocking AOE attacks or increasing damage. If AOE attacks are unlocked, some great/critical segments are converted to their AOE counterparts. These will hit all enemies at once at the cost of having lower damage. (The selected target receives more damage than the rest.)

The game takes place as several battles against various monsters such as mites, aviocs, or slimes, with every third encounter being against a boss. Every time the player wins a fight, kiwi gains 1 mood point, and gains 2 from bosses. The player is also offered upgrades for their heroes after each battle, which include raw stats and special abilities (including ones that other characters start with). If the player's health reaches 0, they simply restart the fight without penalty.
Kiwi had an amazing game set up for me! She drew all the characters herself, and they were all so cute! Well, maybe not by herself. I think the flowers on her tail are her sisters. She said they all helped with the drawings.

The game was kinda violent, but it's just a silly game. Kiwi had a huge rule book, but I think she ignored a lot of the rules. Wait! How did Kiwi learn how to read?
Complete 9 Chapters in a single Story run.
Veyeral Games This event can appear after loving Split Veyeral. Split Veyeral's event consists of four different minigames, each one uses 2 time units. The player does not choose which minigame they play, only agreeing to play a game and having it selected at random. The first minigame won gives 1 mood, minigames won after give 2 mood, and winning a minigame while on a winning streak of 3 or higher gives 3 mood.

The player can also hug or pet the veyerals once for 1 time unit, awarding a mood point each. If the player has lost a game, this will award 2 mood points instead and cause future losses to award a mood point.

If the Devil is the current character and has lost at least once, she has access to a unique interaction. She can make a devil deal and play a minigame. If she wins, Split Veyeral gains 3 mood points. If the Devil loses, Split Veyeral gains 5 mood points and instantly drains time to zero.
Split Veyeral wanted to play some games with me today! They were all rolling around and changing the color of their eyeballs. I didn't really know they could do that, but I guess I have seen a few other Veyerals with different eye colors.

Hmm... Her name is Split Veyeral, but is she one Veyeral or are they a bunch of them? I'm still not sure how many there are in there.
Collect a total of 200 tetrids of any colors.
Voltage Min Max This event can appear after loving any form of Voltage Veyeral. Voltage Veyeral's event begins with her stating whether she feels over- or undercharged. The player can then move to a few different locations, which have different effects on the rate Voltage Veyeral charges or discharges. Each location has its own minigame that strongly affects the charge level in one direction. The charge bar has two thresholds that give you extra mood points once you reach them, and reaching maximum or minimum charge will give another mood point and switch Voltage Veyeral's preferred state.

The player can also play the Veyeral Rain minigame or take a burden for extra mood points and a weaker effect on the charge level.
Voltage Veyeral will sometimes come looking for me when she feels lonely. It's always a mystery what her mood will be every day. Sometimes she wants to charge herself up in the rain, but other times she just wants to relax in a cave or under an umbrella.

She always reminds me that there are so many different paths I can take every day.
Have 10 radiated Bounty Gift cards.
Cooking with Magma This event can appear after loving Molten Veyeral. Molten Veyeral's event has a few different components. First, the player is asked to look for ingredients. These can be found inside or outside of Molten's cave, each offering a different selection of minigames. Each minigame has a different distribution of each ingredient rarity and total ingredient count. (Ingredient rarities are simple, lovely, and wonderful.)

Molten Veyeral also has a heat meter. Playing minigames inside will raise her heat, while playing outside will lower it. She can also raise temperature for free once per event, and lower it (while giving you an extra ingredient) for 1 time unit multiple times. It is best to try to keep her at the perfect temperature (between the two lines) to ensure the soup's quality.

Unlike other events, Molten Veyeral does not offer gifts. Instead, she will use the gathered ingredients (in groups of 5) to make bowls of soup, which the player has to cook in one last minigame. Each soup randomly gives a variety of buffs, consisting of: most bonus gift effects (except speed), chrome hearts, manic panics, and panic polyps. Higher quality soup will have rarer and more potent effects, in addition to having more effects overall. The quality of the soup is determined by the rarity of ingredients, how well the cooking went, and how far off Molten Veyeral is from the perfect temperature. If the temperature was off or if the soup wasn't cooked properly, the soup may have negative effects in addition to the positive ones. While the player can create as much soup as they can acquire ingredients, they can only choose up to three.
Molten Veyeral made soup for me today! She didn't have any ingredients though, so we had to go looking for some. We also had to make sure she was the perfect temperature for cooking soup. Not too hot, and not too cold!

She makes one soup for every 5 ingredients we find. They all give my heart random effects, but I can never make it past 3 bowls.
Break 50 of Molten Veyeral's magma turret orbs. (Story Mode)

Treasure Events

Treasure events are all roughly the same. They involve entering a unique chapter known as "Heart of a Monster," where a unique Shiny Battle for that monster will appear. Only one Treasure Event can occur per run, and can only appear between chapters.
Every monster choice past the first one (only possible to see with the monster radar effect) will spawn with a Blessing (Bonus if they aren't unlocked) and a chance for a Bounty, further increasing the event's rewards if the player has the appropriate effect.

Knot for Naught This event can appear after loving Knot Knott. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Knot Knott. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. Knot asked me to help her find Knott. Knott had taken a warp synapse back to her original universe and Knot was worried that she might be in trouble. It turns out she went there to bring back a gift for me!

I pulled Knott back into this universe through Knot's dream, but I don't think that actually did anything in the waking world. The important part is that it made Knot feel better while she waited for Knott to return.
Accept Unit Lulu's special free gift.
Work for Joule This event can appear after loving Joule. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Joule. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. Joule wants me to help her with an experiment. She is trying to send energy over to other dimensions using the motes that are stuck in her hair. I don't know exactly what that means, but all I have to do is show some more love. I'm really good at doing that!

When I do really well, I pull so many other gifts from her hair.
Earn 3 unique Silver Medals or better in Altered Story.
Rendy's Buried Treasure This event can appear after loving Rendy. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Rendy. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. Rendy needed my help finding her buried treasure. She told me that she couldn't remember where she buried it, but I think that was just an excuse to be around me and show off her digging skills.

I hope one day she understands that she doesn't need an excuse to do that.
Receive a total of 8 free gifts from any monsters.
The Royal Treasure This event can appear after loving Snowball. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Snowball. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. Snowball needed my help remembering where she buried her royal treasure. I don't think I helped very much since nothing in her dreams made any sense. She has gifts buried all over the place, so it's probably just a lucky guess every time we find anything. Defeat Snowball without letting a single bouncing egg leave the screen while breaking at least 6 of them.
Any Way You Want It This event can appear after loving any 3 Eyeric Glyph monsters. This event will not appear if the conditions for another treasure event has been met, unless 4 Eyeric Glyphs are loved. The player can choose to enter a battle against Philolu. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. I met another monster that isn't afraid of me! It should really be no surprise that it was Philolu, the love glyph. It's also not surprising that she is so unbelievably pretty!

She actually asked ME on a date! Wow!

I made sure it was just a friendly date. She actually seemed just a tiny bit sad about it. But I just can't- No, I don't want to think about that right now.
In Altered Story, have Abyss add at least 1 extra battle and then win the run.
Async Desync This event can appear after loving any form of Syncron. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Syncron. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. Syncron came back with more gifts for me today, but by the time they found me, they were in a full panic! I had to help them get out of it!

It turned out that the gifts were covered in motes that got stuck inside their exhaust ports! I feel a little guilty that they went through all that just to give me some gifts.
Complete a total of 16 days in Altered Story.
Murder Dance This event can appear after loving any form of Momo. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Momo. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. Momo wanted to dance with me today. The dance was very intense and complicated. There were vines and blades everywhere. It was so much fun!

Some shy monsters were watching us from hiding spots in the trees. They left some gifts for us.
Break all of Shy Momo's green petals in a single battle. (Story Mode)
Veyerals Dream Again This event can appear after loving Veyeral Rain. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Veyerals. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. A group of Veyerals that I showed love to came back to see me. They wanted me to show them another dream. They were so grateful that they gave me even more gifts, but I was happy to do it anyways.

I didn't know that Veyerals can't dream on their own. It makes me so sad to think about it.
Love 100 total Veyerals in battles against Veyeral Rain. (Story Mode)
Lucky Break This event can appear after either loving Anomaly, 3 Special Monsters, or having over 150 karma. This event cannot appear if the conditions for another Treasure Event are met, as long as Anomaly or 3 special monsters have not been loved. The player can choose to enter a battle against Shiny Anomaly. After loving her, the player is offered gifts relative to their score. The higher the score, the greater the selection of gifts and the amount that can be taken. I usually don't get much time to rest during the day. Even though I'm actually asleep throughout every battle, it isn't the same as resting for myself. I'm still so tired after waking up from that.

I had a rare chance to take a nap for myself. I had a dream about that strange heart again, and when I woke up, there were gifts left next to me.
Love Anomaly in Endless Nightmare by keeping the level low.

Special Events

Special Events are a highly varied set of miscellaneous events that appear in specific circumstances.

Name How to Find Description My Notes Unlock
Her Path This event will always appear before the final chapter in regular story mode. It will not appear if no additional final bosses have been unlocked. The player is given the option of which story path to go through. The current choices are The Void, Totaria, or Blue Veyeral. How will my story end today? Will it be heartbreak, or something worse?

No! I'm not afraid anymore!
Gift From Beyond This event can appear at the end of a full chapter if the player has low enough karma. It will not appear if the player has more that three wonderful power gifts. The player enters a special chapter where the only monster available is Anomaly. Every offered gift will be of the highest rarity (if able). Something is watching over me. I've never actually seen her, but I know she is there. My love dream power works on her just like any other monster.

Whatever she is, she gave me some of the most Wonderful Power Gifts ever given.
True Panic This event can occur at the end of a full chapter if the player has at least 4 panics. Having additional panics will increase the chance. The player enters a special chapter where the the only monsters are either Nix Polyps or Tox Polyps. They will always offer gifts that give or affect panic attacks, but they can offer any Bonus gift. Holding onto so much panic has attracted polyps. They bring nothing but Panic Gifts and even more panic. It really is a self sustaining cycle.
Don't forget to panic!
Link Synapse This event will automatically appear before the start of a run if any gifts have been given to Scrambla or Boiler in their events. The player can retrieve up to four gifts given in Scrambla and Boiler's events. As long as a gift remains in the synapse, this event is guaranteed to appear. A Link Synapse opened up outside of my home today. There were some gifts inside along with a note. I couldn't read it, but it was clearly from Scrambla. The thing is, I can't remember putting all of those gifts in there.

I could only take a few out before it closed. Radiating Foreign Axons will let me take more gifts out of the synapse.
This event is automatically unlocked when either Scrambla's Gift or Boiler's Gift have been unlocked.
Alter Your Fate This event will always appear after the Altered Nowhere chapter in altered story mode. This event will not appear if gifts have been retrieved from the Link Synapse event. This event functions similarly to a trade event. The player can exchange gifts, panics, or max health in order to increase Abyss' power points. They can then be exchanged for gifts or an extra battle. Up to three battles can be added in this event. This is only used to increase the potential score of the run. Abyss can call over more monsters with her power. I'm not sure what she does, but I can find myself with up to 3 extra battles to deal with after meeting with her.

She seems really concerned with how many motes I can get in a single day. Maybe I can break this cycle by simply showing love to as many monsters as possible in a single day? If only it was that easy.
Receive 50 Rose Medals from monsters in Altered Story.
Solara's Gift Shop This event only appears in endless stress mode. The player can pay karma to summon Solara after any fight. The karma cost increases by 1 after each use. The player can use karma to buy gifts from Solara. Any type of gift can be offered, with rarer gifts being worth more karma. The player can also take a burden to gain karma relative to its rarity. Solara offers more powerful gifts relative to the amount of times she has been summoned and the amount of fights the player has cleared. The player can buy as many gifts as they want as long as they can afford it.
This event can be upgraded with the "Dream Petal" upgrade gift.
Solara wants to help me survive during my nightmares. She can use her power to reach deep into my mind and pull gifts out of my memories. It takes her more karma to do this after each gift is pulled out.

Solara's chances of pulling higher rank gifts are increased by the amount of times I summon her, and the amount of battles I survive.

Tower Events

Tower events are a set of events unique to The Towers game mode.

Name How to Find Description My Notes Unlock
Gift Dynamo This event can appear after any full chapter. The player can spend one tetrid of a random color to receive a random power gift or 6 karma. One of my tetrids pulled me over to a strange machine inside the tower. I put the tetrid into a small triangle slot on the side of the machine. It started making a bunch of noise. Lights were flashing all over it. I started to get worried, but then it all stopped suddenly.

A cute little door opened up on the side. There was a Power Gift inside!
Tower Vault This event can appear after any full chapter. This event is considered a "tetrid vault" event, and only one can be encountered per run. The player may play an arrow code minigame. A variety of tetrid bonus gifts are offered based on the score. I thought I found the Little Robot in the middle of a tower today, but it was just a hologram with preset messages. She wanted me to push a bunch of buttons on a machine to open a little vault. I bet if I get a better score next time, she will open a vault with more tetrids for me!

I don't know why it was designed that way, but I do remember the Little Robot telling me about her creator's peculiar sense of humor.
Security Breach! This event can appear after any full chapter. This event is considered a "tetrid vault" event, and only one can be encountered per run. The player may play a needle minigame. A variety of tetrid bonus gifts are offered based on the score, with one non-tetrid being offered if the score was high enough. This tower pranked me today! I really thought an alarm was about to go off. I started pressing any random buttons I could find! I can't believe that little robot's creator! She can be so mean!

At least they let me take some tetrids from a vault for the trouble. The hologram said there are vaults with other kinds of Bonus Gifts in them if I get a high enough score.
Earn 15 unique Silver Medals or better in The Towers
The Junk Vault This event can appear after any full chapter, as long as the player has empty quick gift slots. This event will not appear until at least 6 monsters have been loved. The player has three different vaults to choose from. Each vault contains a variety of quick gifts, but only one can be taken per vault.
This event can be upgraded with the Vault Key upgrade gift.
I found a hologram of a different robot today. She looked almost the same as my Lulu, but she had a very... different personality. This robot seemed to be really upset when she recorded all those messages.

She operates a few vaults that have Quick Gifts in them. She called them Junk Vaults, but I didn't see any labels that suggested they were actually designed to hold trash.

She always has ideas for 10 different gifts.

Today, it was Sapphire that came to visit me in the tower. She can make me gifts out of these things:

She even had ideas for 13 gifts, which is more than normal! I wonder if the other gems can resonate with other Zaraden like this?
