Protagonists

This is a list of protagonists/player characters, or playable "Hearts", in The Void Rains Upon Her Heart.

Overview

Initially, you begin with only "Her Heart" unlocked, as you are being introduced to the game. As you progress through Story mode, you begin to unlock more hearts, understanding the deeper story of the game. Each heart has its own unique playstyle, statline, and story. There are more dreams to unlock with each heart and more characters that are explained through the journey of each story mode heart.

Main Hearts

These Hearts are available in all gamemodes, if unlocked.

Alter Hearts

These Hearts must be unlocked by gaining access to Altered Story, after which point they will also be available to play as in Quickplay, Endless Nightmare, and Towers.
